Privacy policy

[09 February 2021] Let me just say that this is going to be the least formal privacy policy you have EVER SEEN. Sorry.

I have this entire site set up to not accept comments. There should be no reason for you to ever sign in to anything on this site and I don’t even let you set up a WordPress account here. So the likelihood of this site ever putting cookies on your browser is remote. If it does, that’s not information I can see or understand anyway. (Cookie files are TINY.)

I also don’t personally track you or take information from you other than the fact you visited here and what IP address you used when you did. I use a visitor tracker that logs each aforementioned IP address and visit. I can parse, using that information, which city and nation you are visiting from. That’s it. I have no idea who you are. But feel free to use Duck Duck Go if you’re worried. I will not be at all offended.

If I have content here that is embedded from another site, such as YouTube, and you have an account at that site and are logged in, that other site may put a cookie on your computer or otherwise track you when you run across its embeds here. If you don’t mind these sites tracking you, stay logged in to your accounts there; if you want them to stop tracking you, sign out of those sites. Simple.

“How do I know which sites you have embedded on your site?” It’s usually clearly labeled. YouTube videos are obvious, Flickr photo embeds are obvious, Getty’s obvious, etc.

I want to give out information, not take yours. This whole site is structured around that. Thanks for understanding.
